Admission requirements

For admission to the Master’s programme in Fine Arts at Malmö Art Academy, you must have a Bachelor of Fine Arts or an equivalent qualification. An example of an equivalent qualification is three years of study on a five-year Master’s programme in which no Bachelor’s degree is awarded. Admission

Each academic year a maximum of 15students are admittedto the two-year Master’s programmein Fine Arts. All applications are reviewed confidentially by an admissions committee composedof supervising professors of Fine Arts, senior lecturers, lecturers and student representatives. Shortlisted applicants are called to interviews in the spring, usually in April. The selection is based on an assessment of samples of artistic work, personal statements and interviews. The reasons behind the decision of the committee are not communicated and the decision cannot be appealed.
