WE HAVE EXCHANGE AGREEMENTS WITH SOME OF THE WORLD’S LEADING ART ACADEMIES

1

Malmö Art Academy has a strong international profile, which is accentuated by proximity to Denmark and continental Europe. Education at Malmö Art Academy also benefits from the active artistic climate in the region with its art galleries, art museums and other institutions. Guest lectures by internationally active artists, critics and curators as well as various forms of project collaboration are natural elements of the art academy. Teaching and other information is mainly provided in English. Exchanges and collaborations between students and teaching staff from other academies around the world are an important part of the academy’s activities.

Here you can read more about exchange opportunities at the academy.

The academy has a studio in Berlin and Amsterdam. Students can apply to use a studio for a period during a semester to work on a project that has a connection with one of the cities.

Malmö Art Academy organises an annual study trip lasting about a week to an international, artistically interesting place or exhibition. It is led and supervised by two of the art academy’s teaching staff and is primarily offered to first-year students on the Master of Fine Arts programme (MFA1). Every fifth year, the art academy hires a bus and all students and as many members of the teaching and non-academic staff as possible head to Documenta in Kassel, which is still the most significant exhibition in Europe and internationally.
