Quality assurance

We control, secure and develop the quality of our educations based on Lund University's policy for quality assurance.

The policy applies to all education at Lund University and is based on three main processes:

  • Establishment and discontinuation of courses and study programmes
  • Evaluation of ongoing courses and study programmes
  • Follow-up of quality enhancement work and its results, including course evaluations and course evaluation report

Evaluation of ongoing courses and study programmes

The Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) reviews Lund University as a unit on the basis of both national and european standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the higher education area (ESG). Our programs are reviewed once per national review period, which means approximately every six years. Programs that are not reviewed by UKÄ, are reviewd by the faculty.

Review period 2017-2022

The three perspectives that are highlighted in the review period 2017–2022 are student influence, working life and gender equality. The Faculty of Fine and Performing Art's programs have all been reviewed externally and collegially between 2017 and 2020. The report can be found under Documents on this page.
