Studios

Malmö Art Academy offers individual studios to each of the approximately seventy students in the Fine Arts programs. Students have access to their studio every day, around the clock, throughout the year.

A large part of the education at Malmö Art Academy consists of independent artistic work and therefore all students have access to their own studio throughout their studies. At each new academic year, students choose a new studio space at Dimman (Bergsgatan 20, 214 22 Malmö), or in Båghallarna (Föraregatan 4, 212 52 Malmö) where a majority of the studios are located.

Accessibility

You have free access to your studio, where you can freely explore and practice your art during the semesters. This means that you can use your studio around the clock. However, you do not always have access to your studio during the summer between semesters.

Cleaning and safety

Please note that you, as a registered student at Malmö Art Academy, are obliged to follow all Lund University's and the landlord's rules for the use of our premises including your studio.

Compilation of studio rules

You are personally responsible for the studio you borrow and may therefore be liable for compensation in the event of damage. Home insurance is therefore usually a good solution. Check carefully what is covered by your insurance company.

Read more here about the rules that apply to cleaning, alarms and security on the premises.
