13 contemporary artists challenge the University of Copenhagen's monument tradition

RECAST is organised to mark the 150th anniversary of women's admission to the university. The exhibition is based on the University of Copenhagen's art collection, which contains over a hundred busts, all depicting white male researchers.
The University of Copenhagen has invited 13 contemporary artists to rethink and challenge this classical monument tradition, which for centuries has materialised the people and events that we as a society have honoured and remembered.
