The exhibition Spring is for Sowing revisits past rituals and oral accounts to open up new ways of relating to our environment through film, sound and installation.
Set in the Jutland landscape, the works explore “place”, not as a noun, but as an evolving site – changing by biological and geological forces, as well as cultural influence and remembrance.
Stories and movements connected to nature and agriculture glitch to a handball match. Whistling leaves tune to old tapes. The contradictory is mixed and allowed to coexist. It’s an unfamiliar familiar place to be in, nourishing new sprouts.
