Galleries

At the student art galleries, KHM1 and KHM2, the students have the opportunity to exhibit their work in well-functioning and flexible exhibition spaces. In the beginning of every schoolyear, early in autumn, all new students admitted to the Bachelor and Master programme present their works in a group exhibition. During the rest of the school year master students present their individual graduation shows at KHM1 and KHM2. All exhibitions are open to the public. The Annual exhibition takes place at Båghallarna each year in May.

Please note that the Annual Exhibitions 2020 and 2021 were digital.

Address KHM1: Friisgatan 15b
Address KHM2: Berggatan 29 (3rd floor)

Workshops

Students are given access to the workshops only after training in how to use the machines and equipment.

The academy offers well-equipped workshops for wood, metal, plaster, plastic, clay, concrete, lens based media; film, video, digital and analog photography, digital image processing, 3D printing and animation. The workshops are located in Båghallarna, Föraregatan 4 and at Dimman, Bergsgatan 20 and are usually staffed week days, 8 a.m-4 p.m.

In addition, the academy has well developed collaborations with workshops in Malmö city. You can, for example, work with bronze and aluminium casting at Monumentalverkstaden, silk screen at KKV Grafik and 3D printing at Digitala Bildverkstaden. The collaboration gives you a possibility to establish contact with the professional resources available outside of the academy already during your training.

Our premises offer private studios for the 75 students on the Fine Arts programmes. Students have access to their studios 24 hours a day throughout the year. Most of the studios are located at Båghallarna but seven of them are on Dimman. These are for those who do not work with soiling techniques.
