Another Nature - Anton Kai

Anton Kai is thrilled to announce his MFA graduation show at Malmö Art Academy this April.
Another Nature is an exhibition about photography as a way of thinking.
In the staged tableaus a self emerges. It takes on the different roles that make up the photographic space: the operator, the model and the spectator. It is a dynamic process of both sharing and withholding. “A space informed by human consciousness gives way to a space informed by the unconscious”. An urge to tell oneself that which you would prefer to keep a secret. 
Photography is a key, he said. But to which door? Photography opens doors to other people’s lives. He never looked inward.

The exhibition comprises 27 photographic works and will also mark the release of the book I Need Some Kind of Framework, a collection of notes and diagrams made alongside of the exhibition.
